Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 31, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Titanium Mesh ("Titanium Mesh," "we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website, join our waitlist, or use the Titanium Mesh storage service (the "Service").

01

Information We Collect

  • Contact information you provide — name, work email address, and phone number — e.g. when joining the waitlist, creating an account, or contacting support.
  • Account information — login credentials (passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing, never in plain text) and multi-factor authentication settings.
  • Your files — the content you upload to the Service, and file metadata such as name, size, type, and upload date.
  • Third-party integration tokens — OAuth tokens for connected accounts such as Dropbox, OneDrive, and Google Drive, which we encrypt with our master key and never store in plain text.
  • Billing information — your subscription plan and billing history; card details are handled directly by our payment provider and are not stored on our servers.
  • Usage & log data — IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and timestamps, collected automatically when you use our website or Service.
02

How We Use Information

We use the information above to provide, maintain, and secure the Service; process subscriptions and billing; communicate with you about your account, the waitlist, or Service updates; respond to support requests; detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and improve our website and Service.

03

Legal Basis & Compliance

Titanium Mesh is built to help firms operating in Botswana meet their obligations under the Data Protection Act, 2024. Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on: your consent (e.g., joining the waitlist); performance of a contract (e.g., providing the Service you subscribed to); and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service, balanced against your rights.

04

How We Protect Your Data

Files are encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a unique key per file before being split into fragments with Reed-Solomon erasure coding and distributed across our storage mesh — no single storage node ever holds a complete file. File encryption keys are themselves encrypted ("envelope encryption") with a master key before storage. Connected cloud-account tokens are encrypted the same way. Access to your files is checked against your authenticated session on every download, delete, and repair operation.

05

Third-Party Service Providers

We share limited information with service providers who help us operate the Service, including Formspree (waitlist form submissions), our hosting and infrastructure providers, our payment processor (for billing), and, where you choose to connect them, Dropbox, OneDrive, and Google Drive (solely to copy the files you select). These providers are only given the information necessary to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We do not sell your personal information.

06

Cookies & Similar Technologies

Our website uses only the cookies or local storage strictly necessary for it to function (e.g., remembering your session after sign-in) and does not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Some embedded resources, such as web fonts, may be loaded from third-party content-delivery networks.

07

Data Retention

We retain your account information and files for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain Your Content for a reasonable period to allow you to retrieve it before it is permanently deleted, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Waitlist emails are retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until a reasonable period after launch if you never convert to an account.

08

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@titaniummesh.org. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law.

09

International Data Transfers

Where your information is processed or stored outside Botswana, we take steps to ensure it receives a comparable level of protection to that described in this Policy, including through encryption in transit and at rest.

10

Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
